Ever since production of carbonated soft drinks became viable for mass manufacture in late 19th century, many companies were created around the world to fill the need of the public for these incredibly popular drinks. Today, many of those old giants are still active, managing to both save their original recipes for their most popular drinks, and introduce new brews for modern society that is living fast and is demanding best treats that can cool them on a hot day.

  • The Coca-Cola Company – Established in 1886, this company started its road to global domination by purchasing recipe and rights of Coca-Cola drink from its inventor John Pemberton.
  • Dr. Pepper Snapple Group – Created before Coca-Cola and managing to become first nationally marketed soft drink in the US, the current home of Dr. Pepper is in Dr Pepper Snapple Group, a company that was spun off from British “Cadbury Schweppes” in 2008. In addition to Dr Pepper, this company also produces and sells 7 UP all around the world.

  • PepsiCo – One of the largest American multinational food and beverage corporations, best known for their soft drinks Pepsi, Mountain Dew, 7 Up (outside of US], and Pepsi Max. Pepsi drink itself was developed in 1893, and renamed into Pepsi-Cola in 1898.
  • Cott – Canadian beverage manufacturing and fruit processing company, operating in entire North America. Their most popular products are Cott and Royal Crown Cola, although they manufacture and distribute drinks from many other popular brands.
  • Faygo – American soft drink company from Detroit, Michigan. They are best known for their popular drink Faygo, also known as Faygo Pop.
  • Bundaberg – One of the largest Australian-based non-alcoholic beverage manufacturers.
  • Kirks – Australian-based soft drink manufacturer, best known for creating Creaming Soda (also known as Cream Soda in the US). This carbonated soft drink is most often flavored with vanilla, although they also sell variations with lemon and other fruits.
  • Asahi Soft Drinks – Japanese soft drink company created in 1982. Their most popular product is carbonated drink “Mitsuya Cider”, which flavor is often described as a mix between Sprite and Ginger Ale. It comes in many variations, such as lemon, white peach, grape, melon and others.
  • Suntory – One of the oldest Japanese companies for brewing and distilling alcoholic drinks, but they also sell a large variety of soft drinks (Bikkle, C.C. Lemon, Orangina, Ribena and others).
  • Ajegroup – Large multinational company that creates and distributes drinks all around the world. Based from Peru, this company originally started in 1980s as a regional Peru soft drink company.
  • AmBev - Brazilian brewing company that prides itself being largest company of its type in Latin America. Their most popular soft drinks are Guaraná Antarctica, Soda Antarctica, Sukita, and Guarah.
  • Hamoud Boualem – Algerian soft drink manufacturers that is well known also in France, UK and Canada. It’s most popular drinks are Selecto, Halmoud and Slim.
  • Foxton Park – Popular soft drink brewing company from Connecticut that was established in 1922.
